  1. When you see a garage sale sign on the street what do you do? Most likely slow down to read it, maybe make a risky maneuver to get to that sale?? Time and time again customers tell me, and the surveys also show that the signs on the street brought them to the markets I manage. People spend a lot of time in their cars.
    The other issue to consider is my markets are free so there is no disappointment at the entrance about having to pay.
    Setting out signs is my least favorite job to do and I've set out several thousand over the years and you know I'd love to stop, but I know they make a difference. I think advertising needs to be multi-faceted, for now anyway.
